“HEAVY IS THE HAND”
Custom Furniture
Cause who wants boring furniture !??
This is the first of the many planned custom painted furniture by me!
I custom mix acrylics in the same way I work my canvas pieces.
I then layer over with epoxy resin, sealing the piece for secure durability.
“Glows”
series
I started this series with a commission in July of 2022. This series starts with a large piece of plywood that I cut to size. I then paint each piece, layer and back-light with LEDs.
The goal is to turn something flat and lifeless to a floating, glowing, 3D work of art.
“Flows”
series
The first of the “Flows” series, this piece was originally created for an art challenge early this year. My best friend and I came up with the concept at random and I'm super pleased with the result. This piece is now the mother of this series that tells stories through flow and connection.
Using the largest canvas I’ve worked to date, (60x40) this was the most difficult and time consuming, yet rewarding piece thus far. Entirely free-handed with acrylics, and given a poetic narrative.
The original is no longer available but you can own a stunning print (and much more portable ;) for a fraction of the price.

“Verre à Vin”
series
Originally created on heavy water color sheet, this series starts with a deep charcoal base. They are then layered with purposefully placed metal foils and often free-hand engraved. The result mimics the movement of a wine pour.

“Deux Faced”
series
I started this series at the end of 2020. Meant to capture not only the connection we have to each other but also our past and present selves.
These are done on 2 canvases. I then connect them with a custom frame I craft usually from pine wood, looots of patience and many splinters.
