I wanted to capture themes of fluidity, transformation, and the controlled chaos that such change entails. The Luna moth was perfect for this as they symbolize transformation, intuition, new beginnings, rebirth.. This expression of her as she merges with the moths and begins to blend/take their form, and the over-all piece reflects how my past year has felt—chaotic, exhilarating, constantly shifting, amazing days and very dark days...full of contrasts. Despite the turbulence, my intention is to emerge from it all, transformed and renewed. 18”
