“Torn Between”

"Torn Between" is a table piece and the piece that started my entire solo show 'Heavy is the Hand' collection.
It brings attention to the themes of influence, intention, support, connection and individuality. The hands symbolize outside perspectives and opinions while the tear symbolizes the difficulty as well as the peace that comes with acknowledging and finding the balance between these things as they come from others, while respecting our own perspective. This is the most personal I've been with my art in a long time. It's hard for me to verbalize why this theme is so important for me to express for the past year but I hope the visualization plus some of the poetry I’ve written for these pieces speak for me.

what comes natural

This was my first resin project. Nerve wracking and stressful but I regret nothing.
